Yesterday turned out to be the perfect day to visit the zoo. The weather was absolutely perfect and there were very few people there (good for us, bad for the zoo). The kids were able to run around a little more freely and just be themselves. Normally we tend to take a certain "route" but we went a different direction this time and saw the beautiful lions and the White Bengal Tiger.
I caught a few shots of the kids looking through a window on the opposite side of the meerkat area. The girls really got a kick out of the meerkat antics.
Since we were taking a different route at the zoo, we located the fun displays where the kids could stick their heads through the pictures. We had fun getting these photos:
The zoo has a beat up Land Rover on display near the giraffes and the kids always have to spend some time climbing around and exploring the vehicle. Kendall let Clark drive for a couple of minutes before taking the wheel.
We had cupcakes and ice cream with Uncle Stevie, PooPa and Uncle Albert later Sunday evening to celebrate Uncle Stevie's birthday. Initially, Emma was having a bit of a meltdown while we began singing "Happy Birthday" but she cheered up quickly. Everyone enjoyed their sugary treats and the kids were still telling him "Happy Birthday" tonight, so the celebration continues.
