Making More Christmas Memories

Auntie Karen and Uncle Tom took Emma out for some "special time" with them (in case you haven't figured it out, this is a rotation situation where each one gets an outing with Auntie Karen and potentially Uncle Tom as well - it was Emma's turn despite the fact that she had kind of been a pistol earlier in the day).  They went out to eat and then to The Cove to see the light display, Santa Claus and enjoy a toasted marshmallow (or more????).  It sounds like she was most interested in the fire and roasting marshmallows.  She is her mommy's girl because I have been known to toast and eat almost an entire bag of marshmallows in one sitting.  Toasted marshmallows are simply one of life's perfect foods.

Meanwhile........

Mommy and Daddy took Clark and Kendall to a Christmas Open House in Oak Ridge.  As usual, Ms. Michelle's food was SUPERB!  I'm going to have to contact her for a few recipes.  We were excited to get to see their home (they moved in about 4 or 5 years ago) and see some of her family and friends.  Clark and Kendall were a little antsy, but did pretty well.  They were attracted instantly to the big bucket of ice and bottled beverages on the floor.  Clark thought it was super cool to pick them up and shake them around a little.  They were both really interested in the cats and dog as well.  I don't know that our kids have been around cats in person, so this was a new experience.
We weren't able to stay too long because we also had plans to swing by a "live" nativity scene at Auntie Deb's church in Oak Ridge (since we were already out there anyway).  As you can see in the pictures, there was a CAMEL!  It was pretty cool, but lazy and never even stood up while we were there.  They also had sheep, goats and a little tiny donkey.  Kendall was excited to see Baby Jesus and made sure to tell him "goodbye" when we left.
There were many sweets consumed this evening as well as some apple juice, so we sort of had a little accident and poor Kendall rode home in a dress with no leggings.  She didn't seem to mind and I had to take a shot of her relaxing during the ride home.
Thanks Ms. Michelle, Mr. Jim and Olivia for having us over.  And thank you to Auntie Deb for inviting us to her church to see the nativity scene.
Happy Clean Sheet Sunday!

I'm so glad you guys came by the Nativity. I've missed my triplet fix the last two weeks, so it was good to see 2/3 of them!
