Another Snowy Day in Paradise
We still have lots of snow on the ground (and a little falling at the moment...**insert Mommy rolling her eyes here please**). Obviously, the kids are happy about the snow.
We still had sleds (or whatever they are - we girls from Florida don't know about snow equipment) from the neighbor and the sitter, so the kids were able to get out in it again.
And yes, those are socks over the outside of their mittens in an effort to keep the stupid things on their hands! Mittens and gloves are just stupid, except for the obvious warmth that they provide.
I'm trying to the post done early because I was up late last night working on DECLUTTER 2011! I managed to get rid of a garbage bag full of trash and now have a very full bin of books, movies, etc to take to McKays. Woo hoo! I love making a trip to McKays! You certainly don't "profit" from buying and selling at a used bookstore, but its fun to get new things at a cheaper-than-the-sticker-price. And with kids, we are moving through levels of books and movies very quickly.
Speaking of movies, we are really loving "Sid the Science Kid" (PBS show) and "Clifford the Big Red Dog", "Preschool Prep - Sight Words 1, 2 & 3" and also a few of the "Thomas the Train" movies. They still crack me up when they start singing along with the songs on shows that they watch. We are about to dump cable, so it's a good thing we aren't hooked on Sprout or PBS on TV since they don't have cable in the playroom, only a DVD player and a VCR (yes, it's a VCR and it works...and I got it for $4 from Goodwill).
Happy snow, ice and no school AGAIN in Knox county. This is really getting ridiculous.
