What We Love

Things we don't want to live without:

[In the past, I have deleted items as we "outgrew" them, but I've decided to leave things as they are and just adjust the font to the strikethrough so that you can still see it if you so desire.]

* Water toys of any kind - especially the cheap ones that you can find at any of the "dollar" stores

* Between the Lions - DVDs and CDs

* Hydrangeas - OK, not even close to being kid-related, but I love them and don't want to live without them.  Just sayin'.

* Honda Odyssey van - don't know why I've never listed it.  LOVE it!  It is simply the best thing we have done, aside from the three cutie-pies that are our own. :)

*Aunties and Uncles - we have all sorts by blood and by "adoption" and they are all such a blessing to us and even more importantly, to our kids.  We love them ALL just slightly less than we love our kids. ;)

* Fun music - you have to find it.  Our kids love to dance and sing along and we have eclectic taste in music, so it's interesting to see what they love or hate.  Try all kinds of music - pop, classical, rock, country, kid's, praise, showtunes, jazz.  It is so amazing to see how they respond.

*BOOKS!  Yeah!  Everyone enjoys reading.  And we have really enjoyed finding books on CD so the kiddos can read along while listening.  It really helps them continuing learning language and phonics skills.

* Legos.  The kids love them and so do the adults, except when you step on them.  And when they don't get put away and we find little Lego pieces all over the house.

*Barbies.  Yes.  Even Clark has a boy Barbie and it really is good for role-playing activities, although he tends to go on his own and play with cars or Legos or Lincoln Logs.  But again....those little teeny, tiny pieces can really drive you batty when they aren't in their storage bins.

*Movies we love at the moment: Rio.  Despicable Me 2.  Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs 2.  The Lorax.  Frozen.

*Almost any craft kit - loom, rubber band bracelets, paints, drawing sets, chalk for outside.

*Bear in the Big Blue House DVDs/music

*Huggies Overnights Diapers

*Pampers Sensitive Thick Wipes - as they get older, it is nice to just have a box of wipes on hand for the car.

*Pretend cell phones

*Our cell phones - with the camera and video capabilities and the games, these are definitely helpful.

*Blocks - any type will do in our house

*Crayola Crayons - the fat kind that are non-toxic (since they WILL end up in someone's mouth)

*Step2 Choo Choo Wagon and Trailer

*Disposable Sippy Cups, Spoons and Forks

*Kangaroo Bibs

*Play Mats (from Sam's Club)

*Super Yard XT and many, many extensions

*Go Fish CD "Party Like a Preschooler"

*Elmo DVDs

*MacLaren Double and Single Strollers (used, of course)

*Slides!!!

*Flip Video Camera

*Nikon D3000 Camera

*Craigslist - for buying and selling stuff this one can't be beat since there are no fees to pay. Be sure to use common sense when setting up a VERY public place to meet your buyers/sellers.

*AquaDoodle products
