Happy Halloween!

I think I should have dressed him up as Elvis for Halloween.  Check out that lip!!!

Our first stop, the neighbors who live behind us and their dog, Lucy.

How cute is a monkey in a tutu???

Emma takes a "flower-smelling break" before we head to our next stop.

Leaves are Falling

Falling leaves = great big pile of fun, right?  That is exactly what it was for my three little pumpkins.  We are trying to squeeze in fall and Halloween fun this weekend as much as possible.  We are enjoying beautiful sunshine and slightly cool temperatures.  I believe that we are going to have more wonderful weather tomorrow for Halloween so I'm excited about getting the kids out in their monkey costumes again and visiting with our neighbors!
Happy Fall!

Freaky Friday

I found about Freaky Friday in Farragut earlier this week and thought I'd check it out. Auntie Karen and Uncle Tom wanted to go and have a chance to do some trick-or-treating with the kiddos.  Uncle Stevie had planned to meet us there, but we didn't stay long and he was held up at work, so he didn't make it. : (

Anyway, I think the kids had a pretty good time despite the fact that it was incredibly crowded and you really couldn't do much walking since it was wall-to-wall people.  I believe there were about 40 area businesses distributing treats along the pathway, but we made it to about 10 before heading back.  It was a good chance to try out wearing their costumes, being exposed to others who were dressed-up and also learning to actually "trick-or-treat".  Clark was over it fairly quickly, especially when he realized that he was only going to be allowed to eat one Dum-dum lollipop.  Emma was not particularly thrilled about wearing a costume and was ready to shed the monkey-get-up.  Kendall was happy-go-lucky and enjoyed being out.

Uncle Stevie was kind enough to meet us at the house so that I could get the kids settled down.  That small amount of sugar, coupled with the excitement of a new adventure meant that I had three rowdy kids.  But they were still willing to spend some cuddle-time reading stories before going to sleep and that is always a favorite part of my day.  Emma is so interested in "reading" books.
