Messy Messy Messy

We FINALLY got the kids home tonight.  We spent the entire day trying to clean up the drywall dust that coated everything in the kitchen and some surrounding areas.  Daddy also worked to cover up holes in the drywall that were within reach of the kids.  It was a long and exhausting day but we are SO thrilled that the kids are hoping and appear to be sleeping comfortably in their own beds.
The kids and I are either allergic to the same things or we are all carrying colds around and it is pretty frustrating.  Since there are so many issues with children's medications, I am very cautious about giving them anything at all.  Right now we are trying Zyrtec (the generic form) at night and Triaminic by day.  I don't know whether things are improving or not since they have been camped out while the plumbers finished their work and we scrubbed down the kitchen area.  I'm hoping that we can at least avoid any sort of infection and really wish that it would just pick up and go away.
Once we were home this evening, we spent the time out in the driveway and front yard with some kids in the neighborhood.  We grabbed a fruit smoothie and some fries for the kids to share and that was a big hit!  And, always the messy one, Emma dumped about half of hers down the front of her shirt.  Pretty.
I wasn't able to take many pictures of the kids since we were outside and I was also trying to unload the van and get stuff inside.  Emma chose to keep her helmet on after she was done riding on the scooter "just because."  We tried to convince her that she could take it off but she wasn't having it until much later.  And yes, her face and shirt are COVERED in smoothie.  Kendall is covered in the smoothie as well though it wasn't too bad.

I'm ready to shut it down for the night but want to thank Nanny Barb and Mr. Jerry for opening up their house to our kids so that they don't get any sicker with all of the dust everywhere.
I've taken my night-time cold meds so it's time for me to go!  Nightie-night.
