Good Day...Rough Evening

We had a good day at home with the kids. They had music time, art time and lots of playtime with Mommy and Daddy (which involved peek-a-boo in the tunnels, as you can see). All three napped well, though Clark was up a little earlier than usual. Kendall was running a fever last night and again this morning and seemed a little pitiful, but perked up.
We thought it would be fun to take a family outing to Cracker Barrel for dinner and they did well, but Kendall didn't want to eat much. Emma, on the other hand, ate A LOT. Clark too. They love the biscuits, okra and apples, especially. Kendall was a little whiny and didn't seem interested in any of the food. As a special treat, we got sundaes from McDonalds to eat at home. Daddy divided up one sundae for the three of them and again, Kendall didn't seem interested and got more upset. He had already headed upstairs with Clark for bathtime and I had NO idea what was coming. I got her cleaned up and settled into the playroom and she was mid-fit while I got Emma. She really got upset which tends to lead to hyperventilating and even almost getting sick. Still not sure if that is what happened but she tossed up all of lunch. Sorry about the graphics, but we haven't really experienced stomach issues with the kids(except once with Ems). Poor little thing really had a time of it and I just had to sit there and try to soothe her until it was over. I just wanted to scoop her up and make her feel better, but, in typical Kendall fashion, she wanted to clean up.
Fortunately, Daddy was able to take over with her once she was cleaned up and she settled down and fell asleep snuggling with him. We are hoping it is just due to the stuffy nose and not really a stomach bug or anything. We'll just have to wait it out until tomorrow morning and see how she is feeling. Hopefully our little munchkin will feel better tomorrow.

"In typical Kendall fashion, she wanted to clean up" - She sounds like her Auntie Karen. :) tm
