Krazy Kale

Mommy tried out a new recipe tonight. I've heard about lots of benefits of kale and read about moms who feed it to toddlers. There are recipes that involve baking it in the oven to make it crispy after drizzling with olive oil and sprinkling with parmesan and a little salt. The kids didn't really like it. Quite frankly I don't think they liked it, but it was hard to tell because it just crumbles into little parsley flake-like pieces and gets on EVERYTHING (as evidenced in the photos). All of the dark flecks on their faces and hands are little tiny chunks of kale. It took a while to get it all off of them and out of their teeth.
Side note: The recipe that I used even mentioned that this is a great snack dish for parties and I just have to say that is a terrible idea. I tried some and had little green flecks in my teeth and looked ridiculous. So consider yourself warned. :)
Anyway, my attempt failed, but I might try it again. I think it's a super food and we could all use more super foods in our world these days with the colds and sicknesses going around. I'm also just trying to find new things that they are willing to eat because it gets old serving them the same old thing everyday (to me and to them, I'm sure).
Clark made a sweet Valentine's Day project with his teacher today and I wanted to post a picture. Isn't it precious?????
