Parkin' It

Daddy took a day off to enjoy some time with the family.  Originally, we planned to hit the Tennessee Aquarium in Chattanooga, but the weather is just TOO perfect today to spend the time indoors.  Instead, we decided to check out a park we've visited before (without the kids) to see if it is a good place to take them.  It was perfect!  The weather was beautiful and (aside from a mom and daughter who were leaving about the time we arrived and the park employees) we were the only people there.  Because it's near a ridge, it is incredibly quiet but the sounds are amplified.  I'm sure the kids didn't know why our voices seemed so funny, but it was really cool.
They have swings, a play set to climb on with slides, teeter totter/see saw, sand box and lots of room to run around and find twigs, rocks, pinecones, etc.  It was quite a day of discovery for all three.
Kendall would just rather spend two hours swinging than doing anything else.  Clark loves to climb steps...anywhere.  He also enjoyed some time swinging with Mommy before he settled into a toddler swing on his own.  Emma just wanted to do a little bit of everything.  The slides were a hit for everyone too.

We stopped at McDonald's for breakfast prior to the park visit, but they were still ready for drinks and snacks in the car after playtime at the park.  Mommy and Daddy were able to clean out the van while they snacked and watched a movie and then we ran to the grocery store for lunch and to grab a few things on the list.
I had a hard time seeing the information on my camera when taking these pictures.  The quality isn't the best in many cases, but I liked the content and wanted to post them anyway.  I've still got a lot to learn when it comes to my camera and how to keep track of three toddlers while taking their pictures and still have fun.  If you have ever been around the kids when they slide, imagine Kendall's voice saying "One, Two, Three, GO!!!" in the picture just before she heads down the slide.  Even Clark got in on the counting down for the runs down the slide.
Hope wherever you are there is beautiful sunshine and you can find some time to PLAY!  :)

Not only is the quality beautiful but the content...couldn't get any cuter. Don't be so hard on yourself. The pictures are adorable and it looks like they had soooo much fun! I can't believe how fast they are growing.
