Parkin' It

It is another beautiful day (for football) in East Tennessee!  Daddy has to work today, but we took a trip to the park for some playtime and a picnic as a family before he left.  The wind was blowing a nice breeze and there wasn't a cloud in the sky.  It was fantastic.
The kids were excited when we pulled out the blanket and said that we were having a picnic, but I think it's the theory of it that really "wow's" them. [It was also one of those moments for Troy and I where we stopped to enjoy the fact that we are a family and we were making special a special memory together.]  The kids were also pretty happy when I gave them each their OWN bag of chips.  They were ready to get back to the playground, but it was time for Daddy to head to work and we knew that the only way we would be able to leave without any meltdowns was the promise of a marshmallow to each child who went to the car and got in their seat.  Needless to say, it went pretty smoothly.  Whew!  Move over raisins.  Marshmallows are the new "treat" in this house!
Happy Saturday and GO VOLS!
